Wildlife Walks
Thanks to the Trustees of Reservations, a
private preservation society that has over 100 properties throughout the state
of Massachusetts, there are beautifully preserved areas for you to see wildlife
in Martha's Vineyard. If you're planning
on an autumn vacation in the vineyard, visit the Cape Pog Wildlife Refuge and
Wasque Reserve. They're both located in
Chappaquiddick island, but you can be there in under 5 minutes if you take a
ferry. The Trustees of Reservations
offer extensive nature and wildlife tours, but visitors can choose to explore
the island on their own.
Lighthouse Tours
If you go to the vineyard during the fall,
you'll have a chance to be able to see the most popular light houses without
having to wait in long lines. The
Edgartown Lighthouse was built in the early 1800s, and despite years of change
to the area the lighthouse still stands strong to this day. The West Chop Lighthouse is usually crowded
during the summer time, that's why visiting there during the fall will give you
such a different experience. When you go
on the secluded beach and watch the gentle waves roll out, you'll be happy that
